Vacheron Constantin's 1972 - Art for the Wrist Inspired by Salvador Dali

This artful twist on a tank shape watch was inspired by the work of Salvador Dali.

From the first glance the shape captures attention and invites a closer look. It must have caused quite a stir in 1972 when it was first introduced - but then again Vacheron Constantin does not shy away from innovation and invention!

And the inspiration from Dali is fascinating - his work “The Persistence of Memory” shows three clocks melting as a symbol of memory and the passage of time.
